WEB ACCESSIBILITY IN MIND (WebAIM) at Ohio State University has launched its seventh SCREEN READER USER SURVEY. This survey attempts to track many aspects of screen reader and browser usage by the blind around the world. The survey asks questions on which screen readers and browsers are used and users proficiency with them, as well as questions about the use of headings and landmarks, the accessibility of social media sites, and users feelings on web accessibility in general. This survey will influence web accessibility for years and it only takes ten to fifteen minutes to complete. The survey is open until November 1 and no information that will identify you personally is collected. Contact them at 435-797-7024 or via their web contact form.

The KENNETH JERNIGAN SCHOLARSHIP from the American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults, valued at $12,000, is given annually to a legally blind student who exemplifies the fruits of Dr. Jernigan's teachings. The conference will have multiple concurrent sessions on a variety of topics, such as O&M, Braille, assistive technology, STEM, and so on.
